Privacy Policy

Rose of Jericho is a private journal. This page explains what the app records, where it is stored, who else touches it, and how to take it back.

Information we collect

Everything below is information you choose to enter. The app records what you tell it. It does not infer, diagnose, score, or interpret your health.

Account information

Your email address and an authentication identifier. If you sign in with Google, this is the account identifier Google returns to us. We also store your app settings and preferences.

Health and wellbeing

  • Symptoms, including type, severity, and timing
  • Vitals, measurements, and lab results you enter yourself
  • Medications, supplements, dosages, and ingredients
  • Foods, reactions, and allergies
  • Hydration, sunlight, movement, and rest
  • Sleep and daily wellbeing ratings
  • Appointments
  • Health goals, habits, and personal routines
  • Notes and journal entries

Reproductive and cycle health

If you use these features, the app records cycle tracking and pregnancy information you enter.

Spiritual practice

Prayers you write or save, declarations, releases, devotional entries, and encouragement you have viewed or saved.

Subscription information

If you subscribe, our payments provider tells us whether your subscription is active, when it expires, and which plan you are on. Card numbers are handled by Apple or Google and never reach us.

Sensitive information

Two categories of what you record are legally recognised as sensitive personal information, and we want to be direct about how they are handled.

Religious and spiritual information — your prayers, declarations, and devotional entries.

Reproductive health information — your cycle and pregnancy records.

This information is never sold. It is never shared with advertisers, data brokers, insurers, or employers. It is not used to build a profile of you and is not used to train machine learning models. It is not disclosed to anyone except where we are legally required to do so, and it is deleted when you delete your account.

Information we do not collect

The app contains no analytics software, no advertising software, and no crash reporting or telemetry service. We do not collect usage statistics, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

  • No analytics or usage tracking
  • No advertising identifiers, and no advertising of any kind
  • No crash reporting or telemetry
  • No location data
  • No contacts, photos, or calendar access
  • No connection to Apple Health or Google Fit

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used under California law.

How your information is stored

Your information is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database provided by Supabase, on servers in the United States.

Every table containing your information is protected by row-level security. This means the database itself enforces that your records can be read and written only by your authenticated account. This is not a policy promise — it is a database rule applied to every table that holds user data.

Information is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest by our hosting provider.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. What we can tell you is what protections are in place, which is what the paragraphs above describe.

Third-party services

We use as few outside services as possible. The following list is complete.

Supabase

Supabase hosts our database, authentication, and storage. Your account record and everything you enter in the app are stored there. Supabase processes this information on our instructions as our service provider and does not use it for its own purposes.

Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity and returns your email address and an account identifier. Google receives the fact that you signed in to our app. Google does not receive anything you record in the app. Signing in with Google is optional.

RevenueCat

RevenueCat manages subscription status across the App Store and Google Play. It receives a customer identifier and your purchase and renewal history. It does not receive any health, reproductive, or spiritual information.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your device. Reminder content is not sent to a notification service.

Each provider maintains its own privacy policy governing information it receives.

Data retention

We keep your account and your entries for as long as your account exists, so your history stays available to you. We do not delete accounts for inactivity.

After you delete your account, backups held by our hosting provider expire on that provider's ordinary disaster-recovery schedule.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account from Settings inside the app. Deleting your account removes your profile and all associated records — entries, symptoms, vitals, labs, foods, medications and supplements, cycle and pregnancy data, prayers, goals, habits, notes, appointments, and settings. These deletions cascade automatically through the database rather than being handled by hand.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

You may also write to victoria@roseofjericho.app to request deletion, and we will confirm by email and complete it within thirty days.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google. Cancel that through the store where you subscribed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your information, correct it, delete it, obtain a copy in a portable format, or object to certain processing. The app provides access, correction, and deletion directly.

To request a copy of your information, write to victoria@roseofjericho.app and we will send it in a machine-readable file within thirty days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Children under 13

Rose of Jericho is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, write to victoria@roseofjericho.app and we will delete the account and its contents.

This app is not medical care

Rose of Jericho records what you enter. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, does not interpret your results, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your health.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Rose of Jericho after a change means you accept the updated policy.
